Operating Room X 


Operating Room X (OR-X) is a unique innovation platform for the surgery of the future. In a state-of-the-art research and development environment, new technologies, digital solutions, and surgical procedures are tested and further developed under realistic conditions.
OR-X includes a modern simulated operating theatre as well as a surgical skills laboratory. It enables surgeons to train their skills and provides scientists with the opportunity to research and optimize modern surgical methods — including augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, and more — in a highly realistic environment. The foundation supports surgical training, research, and product development activities within this visionary translational center for surgery.
